World Oceans Day Swim – POSTPONED
We are sad to let all swimmers know our Consol glass world oceans day swim has to be POSTPONED. Due to the recent floods as well as the current state of beaches being closed for bathing as a result of leaking sewerage pipes we have made the call to postpone the swim to a later date.
We will let you all know as soon as we have the all clear from the city and the beaches are safe to enter again.
For now keep doing your bit for a #plasticfreeocean
Limited Edition Products
Inspired by a tiny Little Flying Fish
We are releasing a limited edition of products in partnership with Funkypants, Bobums and Lizzard. All proceeds raised from this limited edition range will go towards the work that Breathe is doing to protect our oceans.
The design is inspired from this fish which attached itself to Sarah Ferguson during her one ocean swim. It is a tiny flying fish and her cousin, Janet Du Preez, was inspired to do this linoprint as a result of that little fish.
On day 14, of my cousin, Sarah Ferguson’s One Ocean Swim, from Durban to Cape Town, she posted this photo. This photo is more than just about a fish or her swim to raise awareness about plastic pollution in our oceans. This photo is about carrying on in life against all odds, swimming against the tide… something so many of us are already doing and know the struggle involved. May Sarah’s swim inspire you – as well as this linoprint to know that “Yes you can!”
